Love love this place. I left Grand Forks close to a year ago, but if I could, I'd go there, just to have those wings in those special sauces. Just thinking about them, is making me drool. Worth the money, worth the time.

Fun little place! Go early or you may not get in, especially on wing night. Great friendly staff who clearly enjoy their jobs. Cheap beer and food! Huge portions too, and the food is delicious. I never go to Grand Forks without going to this place. It feels like the best little hidden gem, you don't want to tell anyone about it because you want to keep it to yourself!

Went there for the first time last night. I'm from NH and the wings were great. It's a perfect place you never want to tell anyone about because it was such a good experience you don't want people to ruin it! Going back soon.

This is my new favorite spot! My boyfriend and I went last night and once you walk in you feel like you're in a different world--like you're in on the best kept secret! We sat at the bar while we waited for a table and the bartenders were very attentive, friendly and fast! The food was amazing!!! The wings lived up to the hype, and the jambalaya was HOT but good (we ordered a twelve)! A nice server kept coming around and checking on us. He was so cool! He warned us about the jambalaya being hot! Sorry for all of the exclamation points but it was just that amazing!

Very friendly & inexpensive beer bar with great wings. Go for the Wed and Thu $12 special, with a domestic pitcher and a dozen wings. Charity blackjack and pulltabs too.

Wings were great. Really awesome college bar theme going on. The two wait staff tried to talk us out of the hottest wings, which I got a kick out of. If you're looking for a good place with great wings, this is the place to go

Best place for wings in the state. The guy below me has no idea what he is talking about. Great service great atmosphere. Comparable to blue door in the cities maybe even one notch above.

Okay so all we have heard is "Parrot Cay has the best wings" we came here on Monday and ordered a cheeseburger with chips and a whole order of shark wings. Just absolutely gross, my husband and I ate 1 wing each which was drenched in this goopy sauce, halfed a burger and took 2 bites. DO NOT BE FOOLED by these other good reviews, we are from the south and we know good food. Sadly this was no good! You couldn't get me to eat here again even if it was free.

Heard about the wings so decided to try. Definitely is a dive, stuck away from the main drag but worth the time to go. Seating is an issue but the service makes up for it..which is awesome!!! My server help me with finding the pecan log of Grand Forks for son, daughter and wife. Food is awesome. Friend had the #12 wings which were cooked to perfection. I had the jambalaya which I would hit my mother again to have it. Excellent food. Excellent servers. Seating could be an issue. Advice on Pecan Logs...still up in the air!

I love the Cays food, it is really good probably the best in ALL of GF, but Grand Forks is a small town and there is really no reason customers should have to wait so long to just sit down. EXPANSION would be great.

Simply put: best wings in town!! Pretty much everything on the menu is awesome, but their wings are must-have!

By far the best wings in Grand Forks and possibly everywhere! Quirky college dive bar, but you can't beat the atmosphere for sports especially if there's a Sioux game on.

Three words about the wings: awesome, awesome, awesome! The Cajun pasta and other "Cajun" may not totally authentic but it IS totally delicious! The servers are always friendly, even when they are busy, which is most of the time. Best place in town for ribs and beers!

A wonderful establishment. The atmosphere can't be beat. It's a total dive bar with good food and beers, and the wings are worth the wait.

The wings were very good. The "Mardi Gras" Pasta was passable. The service was terrible. The server took our order, someone else brought out the food, and then much later we got the check. No check-ups. No drink re-fills. Just bad service. Meh, at least it's not a Jimmy Buffet bar.

Great dive bar with awesome wings. This place is really known for it's shark wings which are $12 for a pound and a pitcher on Wed & Thurs which you can't beat. The wing sauce is truly unique. I've had wing all over the world and this is in my top five. The downfall is trying to find a seat. They don't have a hostess which makes the whole entire process very difficult. You have to basically find and interrupt a really busy waitress to get your name put on a board and then just stand around until hopefully someone calls your name. I'd change my score to a 5 star if they'd fix this. Overall, this is a great wing place and the fried okra is pretty damn good too.

Love the $1 Monday burgers! And the beer here is always cold! Also they have a good selection of local beers!

The food is amazing here if you're willing to wait. There is ALWAYS a line and a majority of the time you have to wait in the entry way outside before you're even allowed to come into the building because they cap off the number of people allowed in. If you have to encounter the old guy at the door checking ID's he is EXTREMELY rude and unwelcoming. He shouldn't be the first person you encounter as he has horrible customer service. Once inside you still have to put your name on a list to wait longer for a table. The shark wings are by far the best. If you're looking for a clean atmosphere I would recommend elsewhere as it is a dingy college dive bar.

What a great little place. I love the jambalaya and the blackened shrimp. The poboys are also outstanding. My favorite thing is that you can really pump up the spicey-ness of dishes with their numbering system. It can get really packed and noisy but there is usually somewhere to squeeze in. The food is great and the service is fast, friendly and fun. I try to stop here at least once every time I'm in town - as long as I can avoid burger night and wing night when the place gets way too packed for my tastes.

It had been about eighteen years since I've been to Parrot's Cay Tavern, but it's still the great little dive bar that I remembered from way-back-when! The beer is still slightly watered-down, but when it's just $2.50/pint you can't be too picky. Forget the beer, and focus on their wings! I had a full order (13) of their wings in Shark Sauce (think Buffalo-meets-BBQ). They were awesome! If you want to grab a cold one with the locals the next time you're in Grand Forks, the Parrot's Cay Tavern is the place to go!

Tasty Wings!!!!! Sauce is awesome. The only problem the consistency of the level of hotness to the sauce . The first time I came here I got a #12 wings... it was hot. Second time I got a #6, it was not hot at all. So, I got a #7 and it is as spicy as #12 So, then I get a #8 and it is like a number #4. So, then I got a #4, and then it was as hot as #8 So, then the last time I was here I got a #5 and it was like a #8 I don't know. lol

Quite possibly the best wings you will ever have. Their known for their Buffalo, NY award-winning sauce known as "shark sauce" featuring a mixture of their heat sauce and BBQ sauce. The wings range in heat from 3-15, and if they know you or see that you can handle 15's, you can request as high as 40. Besides this scale, they also have "The Heat Elite Challenge" featuring The Source hot sauce that is attempted every so often for a $25 fee; if you're successful you'll receive a $100 gift certificate after waiting five minutes with a bowl of ice cream and a glass of milk in front of you. Besides their wings, my favorite items include their po' boys, lavosh, and fries. Yes, their fries are a notable item. I know other people I frequently go there with enjoy their pasta. The Cay, as it's often referred to, usually features a decent selection of craft beer (e.g. The Abyss by Deschutes, Bell's Hopslam, etc.). Their selection is comparable to JL Beers, but your dollar will go a lot further here. The owner Rob is always trying to get good new beer on tap. Lastly, it's not uncommon on busy nights to stand by the door and wait for a table to open up. They recently added a dry erase board to write your name down on the waiting list (attached to the memorabilia case). Specials: Monday - $1 burgers with the purchase of drink Tuesday - $2 off Po' boys as well as $2.75 pints of import beer (excludes some) Wednesday & Thursday - Wing night ($12 for a plate of wings and a pitcher of domestic beer) Friday - Usually a few non-domestic tap beers are on special

Did the wing challenge, passed, got my free t shirt and ice cream sandwich. The wings are pretty good. I don't think they are as good as everyone else is making them out to be but I suppose they are great by Grand Forks standards. The beer selection was decent with a few craft beers on tap which was nice. Fun atmosphere with lots of nice, new TV's. The waitresses seemed less than entertained to be helping us out with our ordering and meal, that would be my biggest complaint. Prices were good and food came quickly, my only major complaint would be the waitresses. I'd say it's worth a try if you are at all intrigued by this place. You will get wings that are fairly solid and a cold beer at a decent price.

The Parrot's Cay is one of two reasons I returned to Grand Forks. I don't care how long the wait is, I am always willing to stand patiently for the best wings I've ever tasted. The Cay is simply one of a kind and I recommend it to anyone looking for some delicious food.

Wow....did we have a great time! Our good friend Tony told us new comers about the Parrot's Cay Tavern... and well of course we had to check it out. Wait staff was great and very attentive. Food was good considering a "tavern". Best of all not just Hockey on every flat screen. We just happen to love Basketball and golf... way to go! Oh, and btw... the place was packed so you better go early! Great Job...

This is a great place to eat, especially the fries.

If your having a "splurge day" or simply don't care about your arteries this place is awesome. The beers on tap are great and reasonably priced, especially if you catch happy hour. It has that cool, dark, mysterious bar feeling with low lit lights and shady company included. They also have a gambling table in the back. As for the food, don't try to be creative or healthy. I tried to order something that wasn't on the menu and make a healthy substitution and the guy looked at me like I was crazy. I suggest you just commit to consuming some tasty hot wings or fried yumminess and go with it. The Shrimp Salad and Pulled Pork Sandwich were not worth it. O and ps- the have a jukebox!!!

Simply put, the BEST buffalo wings EVER!!! No exceptions, have tried wings all over the place....these are the best.....and there are a ton of people that will back that statement up.

Mandatory first stop on any trip to Grand Forks. I dream about the po' boys and fried cheese curds! Fantastic atmosphere, very friendly service (hi Dee!)- this is the closest thing you're going to find to a bona fide beach shack within 1,000 miles. Sad to say that they no longer offer $1 beers in their Parrot's Cay mugs, but this is still great value for your money.
